Pet Care Specialists are expected to provide attentive care, clear communication, professional conduct, and respect for every home entrusted to us.
About the Role
Pet Care Specialist assignments vary based on client needs and may include:
- Overnight in-home care
- Extended care
- Drop-in visits
- 24-Hour care
- Dog walking
- Feeding & daily routines
- Medication administration, when appropriate
- Home and plant care
- Client updates and photographs
Availability needs vary throughout the year, with increased opportunities during weekends, holidays, and peak travel periods.
A Professional Path in Pet Care
Velvet Leash Co. is building toward something bigger than traditional gig-based pet sitting. Our long-term goal is to develop the Pet Care Specialist role into a true professional career path within the company.
As Velvet Leash grows, that vision includes creating W-2 employment opportunities and, over time, meaningful employee benefits. Some positions may begin as part-time roles as we responsibly build the staffing structure and client volume needed to support them.
